The host of African Cup of
Nations AFCON for 2024 is Ivory
Coast. Ivory
Coast qualified for the AFCON,
as did former champions Morocco, Algeria, South Africa, Senegal, Tunisia,
Egypt, Zambia, Nigeria, Ghana, DR Congo and Cameroon. None of the 24 qualified
nations will make their debut in the competition.
Previous
finalists Burkina Faso, Mali and Guinea, as well as Equatorial Guinea,
Guinea-Bissau, Cape Verde, Angola, Tanzania, Mozambique, Mauritania, Gambia and
Namibia, will attempt all to win their first AFCON title. This promises to
be a great tournament.

Here
are the details of the meetings of the AFCON groups in competition.
Group A
On
January 13, Ivory Coast faces Nigeria; on the 18th, Ivory Coast faces
Equatorial Guinea; and on the 22nd, Ivory Coast faces Guinea-Bissau. On January
14, Nigeria faces Equatorial Guinea. Then, Equatorial Guinea against Guinea
Bissau on January 18. On, January 22, Guinea
Bissau will be versus Nigeria.
Group
B
Egypt
faces Mozambique and Ghana faces Cape Verde on January 14. Egypt faces Ghana on
the 18th and Cape Verde faces Morocco on the 19th in the second group match. On
the 22nd, Cape Verde faces Egypt and Mozambique faces Ghana.
Group
C
For
this group, on January 15, Senegal will face Gambia. On January 19, Senegal
against Cameroon will take place, and Senegal against Guinea will take place on
January 23, 2024. In addition, Cameroon will face Guinea on January 15. On
January 19, Guinea will take place against Gambia and Gambia will take place
against Cameroon on January 23.

D
In
group D, Algeria will face Angola on January 15, 2024 and Burkina Faso will
face Mauritania on the 16th. On January 20, Algeria faces Burkina Faso, then
Mauritania against Angola. On January 23, 2024, Angola and Mauritania will face
Burkina Faso and Algeria respectively.

E
For
Group E of the AFCON,
Tunisia will face Namibia on January 16, Mali on January 20 and South Africa on
January 24. On January 16, Mali will face South Africa. South Africa and Mali
face Namibia on January 21 and 24 respectively.

F
For
Group F, Morocco against Tanzania will take place on the 17th, alongside DR
Congo against Zambia. On January 21, Morocco will play against DR Congo, then
Zambia against Tanzania. On the 24th, Zambia will take place against Morocco
and Tanzania against DR Congo.
